Tina O’Keefe

Tina O’Keefe is the Director of Compliance and Risk Management for the Gold Strike Casino, with the new parent Company, Cherokee Nation Entertainment as of 2023. Tina has served on the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Educational Association since 2013.

She has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Tina joined the Gold Striketeam in 2002 as Risk Manager. In 2010, before her current role, she was the Regional Director of Risk Management for Beau Rivage and Gold StrikeCasinosoverseeing the general liability, and workers’ compensation programs. She was responsible for assuring the safe operations at Gold Strike through effective risk control, risk analysis and maximization of risk transference to the responsibility of third parties. She also provides valuable leadership and support to all departments and senior management. In Tina’s new role, she is responsible for the oversight of the Compliance, Risk and Safety Departments. Managing adherence to and compliance with rules, regulations and laws concerning Anti-Money Laundering ("AML"), the Mississippi Gaming Commission Minimum Internal Control Standards ("MICS"), Safety Standards and Risk management.

Tina was designated as one of Mississippi’s 50 Leading Businesswomen Class of 2018 by the Mississippi Business Journal. She currently served on the board for the Mississippi Workers’Compensation Educational Association and as past president of the Mississippi Association of Self-Insureds. As of 2023, she also serves on the Kid’s Chance Scholarship Committee. She attended Northwest Community College. She and her husband Russ are the proud parents of two daughters and one granddaughter.
