The Mississippi Public Entity Workers' Compensation Trust (MPEWCT) was developed in 1990 by the Executive Committee of the Mississippi Association of Supervisors (MAS) for eligible political subdivisions to help reduce expenses related to securing workers' compensation benefits for public employees.
In the 20 years that MPEWCT has been in existence, every county in the state has been a member at one time or another, and it has saved the taxpayers millions of dollars in workers' compensation premiums.
The MPEWCT is governed by an eight member Board of Trustees made up of two County Supervisors from each Congressional District.

Judy Mooney is Administrator of MPEWCT and has been affiliated with the program since its development in 1990.
