Michael Traylor
President

Michael is an attorney with Richard Schwartz & Associates, P.A., and is licensed to practice law in Mississippi. Michael has served on the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Educational Association since 2019.

Michael received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Belhaven University and his Juris Doctor degree from Mississippi College School of Law. While in law school, Michael was a member of the Moot Court Board and president of the student chapter of the Christian Legal Society. He also served as an intern with the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Commission.

Prior to law school, Michael worked as a claims professional for a Mississippi‐based insurance company, and after law school, his initial practice primarily involved defending Employers, Carriers, and TPAs. Michael later joined Richard Schwartz & Associates, and his current practice is primarily dedicated to representing injured workers and individuals with personal injury claims.

Michael is a Kids’ Chance Mediator, and he previously served on the Kids’ Chance of Mississippi awareness committee, which educated the public about the Kids’ Chance of Mississippi scholarship program available for children who have had a parent killed or permanently disabled due to an on‐the‐job injury. Michael also previously served on the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Educational Association’s Conference Steering Committee, as well as the Advisory Board for Vertical Church for many years.
